March 20, 2023 (Foley, AL) – Scott Shamburger, President and CEO of The Highland Group, a leading real estate development and commercial construction firm, is proud to announce the promotions of two longstanding members of its senior leadership team. As the group continues into 2023, Ryan Long is the new Vice President of the AL and FL Gulf Coast Markets and Josh Brock has accepted the position of Vice President of Preconstruction Services.
Long has been with the firm since its inception as the VP of Preconstruction Services. Through his leadership, Highland’s preconstruction department has flourished and the leading construction company has effectively doubled in size each year since its founding in 2005. With Long at the helm as Vice President of the ever-growing Alabama Gulf Coast and Northwest Florida territories, he will be able to provide a hands-on level of direction, continue to exceed customer service goals, and provide leadership for seamlessly integrated project deliveries.

With over 15 years of background experience in construction project management, business development, and estimating & procurement; Brock has made a sizeable impact within Highland as the Senior Project Manager and interim Vice-President of Northwest Florida since joining the company in 2021. Since his acceptance of the Vice-President of Preconstruction Services position, Brock has immersed himself into Highland’s preconstruction processes and procedures and is excited to further his commitment to the fast-growing firm.
