The Highland Group has experienced record-breaking success since expanding into the Tennessee Valley Region in 2019, and it is just the beginning.
Michael Barnes, a Huntsville native who has been with the real estate development and commercial construction firm for two years, has been promoted to Vice President of North Alabama.
In this new position, Barnes will be providing leadership and direction for Highland’s current and future construction projects across the Tennessee Valley Region.
“As a Huntsville native, I take great pride in our city,” said Barnes. “The Highland Group constructs buildings, but we also build careers and livelihoods for the local community. I am extremely grateful that the Highland Group gives me the avenue to do that.”
Barnes graduated from Huntsville High School and went on to graduate from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction.
