Florida Panhandle Region

Foreman

Location: Panama City Beach, Florida, and surrounding areas

Overview

  • Supervises subcontractor crews within their specific area or portion of the project.
  • Duties will include performing physical activities in assistance with site maintenance and upkeep, carpentry, logistics, and normal building activities on a commercial site.
  • Reviews site daily with the superintendents and/or project manager.
  • Participate in the activities of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Oversee activities related to the performance of work related to scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control and trade employee staffing levels.
  • Address subcontractor needs and resolve problems.
  • Assist in scheduling and expediting the delivery of materials and equipment.
  • May operate standard jobsite equipment such as forklifts, backhoe, skid steer, excavator, compactors, and construction hoist.
  • Adhere to the overall site safety and quality programs as required and ensure subcontractors compliance with performance standards and all applicable safety codes, regulations, and site security.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and other employees.
  • Display a high level of teamwork, integrity, commitment, and leadership in daily operations.
  • Attends safety meetings and organizational meetings.
  • Instructs employees about occupational hazards and safety measures by actively participating in documented meetings.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years Construction Foreman experience preferred.
  • 5-8 years of construction experience required.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities; experience managing crews and subcontractors preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with crew members, project management, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Ability to effectively read and understand work plans.
  • Requires ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladder.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions.
  • Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers, subcontractors, and supervisors to ensure projects are completed timely.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn.
  • Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

 

Construction Superintendent

Overview
As a Construction Superintendent you will be responsible for work in progress. Joining the project life cycle at the pre-construction stage and ending at project close out, you will be responsible for facilitating the flow of work through coordination of materials, sub-contractors, vendors, etc. as required to successfully complete the project on schedule and within budget. This includes maintaining documentation, quality control, supervising all trade and field personnel while administering good construction safety practices with all on-site activities. Working as a team, you will keep the Project Manager informed of project conditions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty to a high standard:

  • Managing good business to business vendor/sub-contractor relationships.
  • Conduct and maintain safety training, records, and equipment.
  • Maintain documentation – daily logs, schedules, checklists, punch lists, permits & inspections, etc.
  • Inspection of work in progress to ensure high quality standards and adherence to local codes.
  • Providing high-impact communication to all project team members.
  • Able to identify pertinent Local, County, State, and/or Federal government regulations.

Qualifications

Education & Experience Desired

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, Associates Degree or College Degree Preferred.
  • 5-10+ years’ experience in successfully managing commercial construction projects.
  • Certifications in OSHA regulations, safety, equipment, and general industry standard training.

Further the applicant must be comfortable with cloud-based operations, not merely computer-based ones. Additionally, training on company specific software will be required. Therefore, the candidate must be willing and committed to learning and becoming proficient in new software programs quickly.
  • This position is primarily a field-based position with some office-based work as required. In addition, the primary work environment requires the candidate be frequently exposed to the physical environment which includes, but is not limited to; weather extremes, uneven terrain, loud noises, dust, and other job site conditions. You will also be required to exert physical efforts in handling objects, such as carrying or handling materials. Gulf Coast Region

Staff Accountant

Overview

The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the close process with journal entries and analytics, reconciling accounts, compliance, and related duties as they relate with accounts the role owns.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Analyzes data to perform routine journal entries, and non-routine entries as needed.
  • Ensures accuracy in the statement of accounts assigned to the role for financial reporting purposes.
  • Reconciles accounts assigned to the role in a timely fashion that meets company compliance needs.
  • Reconciles and ensures intercompany transactions are coded correctly and settled.
  • Works in multiple sets of books ensuring that all are properly closed and reconciled.
  • Responsible for assisting with the monthly and weekly reporting processes.
  • Works with AP staff to ensure bills and subcontract invoices are coded properly and paid in a timely fashion.
  • Resolves and reconciles vendor accounts relative to contracts/Pos.
  • Ensures compliance from a documentation standpoint regarding lien releases, insurance, and other vetting documentation required.
  • Adhere to all Company policies, safeguard the company’s interests and act in an ethical and legal manner.
  • Complete governmental reports and surveys when assigned.
  • Manage and oversee rental property entity activities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
  • 1+ years of professional accounting experience required.
