Highland Group Employee Featured as Community Ambassador

The Highland Group is a real estate development and commercial construction firm that emphasizes giving back. As a commitment to making a positive difference in the places where Highland Group employees work and live, they support organizations and causes important to their business, their employees, and their communities.

One such organization is the Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce, an unrivaled advocate for business development and tourism to enhance the quality of life throughout Panama City Beach, Panama City, 30-A, Carillon Beach, Destin, and Lynn Haven, Florida.

Jon Powers is an Assistant Project Manager at The Highland Group and currently serves as the company’s ambassador to the Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce. Powers was one of two Chamber ambassadors featured in The Circuit Magazine’s ‘2021 Dining Guide’ that also highlighted community leaders. “It is an honor to represent The Highland Group and serve as an ambassador to the Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce. I volunteer because I care about giving back to the community that gives so much to my family and me,” said Jon Powers.

The featured profile listed dozens of events designed to help local businesses thrive in the community that Powers and other Chamber members regularly participate in. These include fundraisers, grand opening celebrations, ribbon-cuttings, conferences, seminars, and more.

Scott Shamburger, President & CEO of The Highland Group, is very proud of Jon and the other employees who donate their time to give back to the community. “Jon is a great example of the type of employee and community member The Highland Group values. We pride ourselves on developing leaders that are committed to higher standards and have an impact on our firm and the local community,” he said.
